Sod & Mulch Services
Eight things we do, and nothing else. Sod installation, sod delivery and full lawn replacement; mulch installation, mulch delivery and pine straw; and the bed prep, leveling and edging the rest depends on.
Every sod and mulch service we offer in Tampa
Sod and mulch look simple from the curb. They are not. A full-yard install on Tampa sand means reading where water sits after a storm, matching grass to the sun and shade on each side of the house, and laying tight, staggered seams that knit together instead of shrinking apart in the August heat. Mulch means getting beds weeded, edged and covered at the right depth — deep enough to stop weeds, not so deep it holds water against the slab or rots a shrub’s stems.
Below is everything we handle. Each page covers what the work involves, real Tampa price ranges, how long it takes, and the questions homeowners actually ask us. Not sure which you need? Call (813) 733-7188 and describe the yard — we will tell you free, even if the answer is that you do not need us yet.

Sod: install, delivery and replacement
Sod installation is our most requested job, from a single dead patch to a full yard of Floratam, CitraBlue, Empire Zoysia, Bahia or Celebration Bermuda. If you have your own crew, sod delivery gets fresh-cut pallets placed on your property by forklift. When the old lawn is too far gone — chinch bugs, years of drought stress, torpedograss — sod removal and lawn replacement cuts it out, hauls it off and starts clean.
Mulch & pine straw
Mulch installation covers the whole job: weeds out, edges cut, mulch spread at the right depth. Mulch delivery drops bulk pine bark, cypress, eucalyptus or rubber mulch by the cubic yard for DIY weekends, and pine straw installation is the lighter, cheaper option that stays put on slopes and under oaks.
Prep & edging
Lawn bed prep and leveling is the work every good sod job depends on — weed kill, grading, fill sand and sprinkler checks before sod ships. Landscape edging in steel, poured concrete curb or a clean trenched edge keeps St. Augustine runners out of the beds and mulch out of the lawn.

Sod & mulch service FAQs
That is sod installation as a spot repair, with a $450 minimum. If patches are showing up all over the lawn at once — often chinch bugs in sunny Floratam — a full lawn replacement usually makes more sense than chasing spots one at a time.
Yes, and it is one of the most common combinations: new sod in the lawn, beds cleaned out and re-mulched, and a fresh edge between the two. Bundling means one trip, one setup and one price.
Delivery means we bring fresh-cut pallets and place them on your property; you or your crew lays it. Installation means we prep, lay, roll, clean up and leave a written watering plan. Delivery costs less but the prep and the timing are on you.
If the yard has live weeds, old grass, low spots that hold water, or sprinklers that have not been checked, prep comes first. We check all of it at the estimate and itemize prep separately so you can see exactly what it costs.
Pine straw is cheaper, lighter and stays put on slopes and under oaks. Pine bark and cypress hold color longer and look more finished at the foundation. Many Tampa homes use both.
No. We do sod, mulch, pine straw, bed prep and edging. We check sprinkler coverage on every sod estimate and will tell you if a zone needs repair, but we do not repair irrigation ourselves.
Yes. We can provide a written scope with grass variety and mulch type for architectural review applications, plus a certificate of insurance and W-9 for association work.
Most residential jobs are scheduled within the same or following week. Spring fills up fastest, so booking early helps.
