Sod & Mulch Is All We Do

No mowing route, no tree work, no landscape crew stretched across ten trades. Sod installation and delivery, lawn replacement, mulch, pine straw, bed prep and edging across Tampa and Hillsborough County — which is why we know what fails here, and why.

A sod and mulch crew built for Tampa yards

Most companies that will lay your sod also mow, trim hedges, spray and do whatever else came in on the phone that week. Nothing wrong with that, but it means sod and mulch get fit in around other work. For us they are the work. That focus is the reason we can walk your yard and tell you in a few minutes which grass fits your sun and shade, how much prep the sand actually needs, and whether you need a full tear-out or just a patch and a fresh layer of mulch.

We are a new company, set up to do two things well across Hillsborough County: bayfront South Tampa lots on shell and dredged fill, where salt spray and a high water table change the plan; oak-shaded bungalows in Seminole Heights and Hyde Park where Floratam struggles; HOA communities in Westchase and New Tampa with architectural review; and newer builds in Riverview and Brandon where thin builder sod went down on compacted fill. Different yard, different answer.

How we price, and why we publish it

We put our real price ranges on the website, which very few companies in this trade do. Homeowners have no easy way to judge a sod or mulch quote, and that gap is where people get overcharged. If you know Floratam should run $0.75 to $1.15 a square foot installed and someone quotes double with no explanation, you have learned something useful.

Every estimate is free and on site. We measure the yard, check grade, drainage, shade and sprinkler coverage, then hand you a written flat price. That number does not change once work starts unless you change the scope. No deposit to get a quote, no obligation to book.

What we will tell you, even when it costs us the job

If your yard needs a patch, not a full re-sod, we will say so. If a corner holds water after every afternoon storm, we flag it before quoting, because sod laid over a wet spot rots and that is a callback nobody wants. If Bahia will do the job on your big back lot for a fraction of the cost of St. Augustine, we will tell you that too. If your beds only need a clean-out and a two-inch top-off rather than a full strip and re-mulch, that is what we will quote.

Licensed and insured Liability coverage on every job. We provide proof of insurance before work begins, and HOAs and property managers can request documentation for their files. [Add license / registration details here before launch.]

Sod and mulch we actually install

Floratam St. Augustine as the default for sunny Tampa lawns, CitraBlue and Palmetto St. Augustine where oaks throw real shade, Empire Zoysia when you want a dense, soft, premium lawn, Argentine Bahia for big, sunny lots on a budget, and Celebration Bermuda for full-sun yards that want a sports-turf look. Sod comes from Central Florida farms and is cut for your install day. For beds: pine bark, cypress, eucalyptus blends, rubber mulch for play areas, and long-leaf pine straw. Our mulch selector walks through where each one earns its cost.

What happens if something is not right

Call us and we come back. A seam that lifts, a section that was not rolled into the sand, a bed edge that slumped — that is ours to fix. New sod also depends on what happens after we leave, so every customer gets a written watering plan that fits the Hillsborough County establishment rules. If a section browns because a sprinkler zone failed or watering stopped, we will still come look and tell you honestly what happened and what it costs to fix.

Questions

About our company

We are a newly launched sod and mulch company serving Tampa and Hillsborough County. We would rather tell you that plainly than pad it. What we can show you is our published pricing, a written quote before any work, and proof of insurance on request.

Yes. We carry liability insurance on every job and provide proof of coverage before work begins. HOAs, condo associations and property managers routinely need this for their files and we send it as a matter of course.

No. The people who quote your job are the people who do it. A subcontracted crew has no stake in whether the sod roots or the beds hold their edge, and no reason to flag a drainage problem that would shrink the job.

Because the details are where these jobs fail. Matching grass to sun and shade, grading flat Tampa lots so water does not pond under new sod, keeping mulch off the slab and away from trunks — none of that is obvious, and all of it decides how the yard looks in six months.

Never for estimates. For most residential work we collect on completion, after you have walked the yard with us. Large commercial or HOA projects may have staged terms, and those are written on the quote before you agree to anything.

Yes. If a patch or a sprinkler fix plus a small re-sod will do it, that is what we will recommend. Homeowners who get honest advice on the first visit tend to call back for the next job.

Yes. We handle HOA common areas, entrances and multi-family properties as well as single homes, provide a certificate of insurance and W-9 up front, and can invoice associations directly.

The photos on this site show the type of sod and mulch work we do and how we finish it. As we complete jobs in your area we are happy to share addresses (with the owner’s permission) so you can drive by and see the work yourself.

From sod farms in Central Florida. We schedule it to be cut for your install day rather than buying pallets that have been sitting at a yard, because sod stacked in Florida heat starts yellowing within a day or two.

Fourteen communities: Tampa, South Tampa, Hyde Park, Seminole Heights, Westchase, Carrollwood, New Tampa, Lutz, Town ’n’ Country, Temple Terrace, Brandon, Riverview, Valrico and Apollo Beach. No trip charge on any of them.
